Moudy Gallery

The Moudy Gallery is situated within the Art Department building and primarily serves as a teaching gallery hosting a variety of student exhibitions and a select number of exhibitions by faculty and other professional artists. During Family Weekend, the Moudy Gallery will feature “Sequel,” the works of retired TCU painting professors Susan Harrington. For more information, please visit theartgalleries.tcu.edu.

 

Fort Worth Contemporary Arts

Fort Worth Contemporary Arts was established as a satellite space in 2008 to offer a platform for innovative contemporary art from an international context. Its regular changing exhibition program reflects significant developments in art and often features artists’ work that has never been shown in Texas before or is being made on-site during a residency period. During Family Weekend, Fort Worth Contemporary Arts will feature “Flâneuse,” the works of international artists Alicia Eggert, Retha Ferguson, Laura Oldfield Ford, Roxane Huilmand, Alicia Paz, and Tuesday Smillie. *Please note:  Check-In is for families of current students who registered online for the weekend or for families/individuals who purchased apparel sold on this website.  For families/individuals that missed registration and apparel sales, walk-up registration and sales are available at the Check-In location.

Wellness Education Suite Open House

Learn to support your wellbeing – come find out about our campus-wide Wellness Education efforts! Get tips on staying healthy and balanced in college from our Frogs for Wellness Peer Educators. The Sophomore Class Pinning celebrates the return to campus of the previous year’s incoming class. The purpose of the event is to recognize and celebrate the demonstrated intent of sophomores to complete their education at TCU, encourage sophomores to assume their role as rising campus student leaders, and foster among sophomores a stronger connection and deeper affinity to their class and the institution as a whole. Before the pinning ceremony, join other TCU families for refreshments and student musical talent at the Opening Reception outside the University Union.

The Power to Choose Student & Family Tailgate

TCU Lettermen’s Association Tailgate

Prior to kickoff, join the TCU Lettermen’s Association and members of the Parents Association for a TCU-style tailgate. Tailgate tickets are $10 per person and include food, soft drinks, and water. Kappa Alpha Theta Fall Breakaway 5K Run/Walk

Join TCU Theta for our 22nd annual Fall Breakaway 5K Run/Walk benefiting CASA of Tarrant County. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) volunteers are trained community members who speak on behalf of abused and neglected children in the court system. Advocates provide valuable information to the judges as to what is best for the child and also help expedite the legal process so these children will still have a chance at childhood. Please join us this year in supporting a great cause.  For all non-runners, a Zumba class and vendor fair will also be available in the Campus Commons.
