Start your weekend off in the right direction by visiting the University Union. Here, you can pick-up your Family Weekend & Homecoming apparel orders, information packets, maps, and get answers to any Family Weekend & Homecoming questions.
*Please note: Check-In is for families of current students who registered online for the weekend or for families/individuals who purchased apparel sold on this website. Registration is not required for participation by alumni in traditional Homecoming events. For families/individuals that missed registration and apparel sales, walk-up registration and sales are available at the Check-In location.
Various Times and Locations
Many TCU academic colleges, departments, and administrative offices sponsor open house events during Family Weekend & Homecoming. For a list of participants, please use the search feature below and select “Open Houses” in the category drop down menu. This list is constantly being updated as events are added. So, if you do not see the college/department/office you are looking for, please continue to check back.
TCU Parents Association & Career Center Reception
Friday, September 16 | 2:00-4:00pm | Jarvis Hall
Join the TCU Parents Association and the Center for Career and Professional Development (Career Center) for a casual reception. This is a great opportunity for parents to see first-hand what the Career Center has to offer students from the first day they step on campus. For more information, click HERE.

Kick-off Family Weekend & Homecoming 2016 in the Schollmaier Arena and TCU Athletics Hall of Fame with free refreshments and live music featuring Frog Corps, TCU’s all-male choral ensemble, and the TCU Jazz Ensemble.
Sophomore Class Pinning

The Sophomore Class Pinning celebrates the return to campus of the previous year’s incoming class. The purpose of the event is to recognize and celebrate the demonstrated intent of sophomores to complete their education at TCU, encourage sophomores to assume their role as rising campus student leaders, and foster among sophomores a stronger connection and deeper affinity to their class and the institution as a whole. Before the pinning ceremony, join other TCU families for refreshments and student musical talent at the Opening Reception also in the Schollmaier Arena.

Show your Horned Frog spirit and help kick off FrogFest at the annual Family Weekend & Homecoming Pep Rally. Pep Rally will feature TCU coaching staffs, spirit squads, and the TCU Horned Frog Marching Band. You won’t want to miss this purple-powered event in the Campus Commons.

Bring the whole family to this free outdoor event on the Campus Commons lawn showcasing live music, fun family activities, tasty treats, a cash bar, and more! FrogFest kicks off at 6:30pm with a pep rally featuring TCU spirit squads, the Horned Frog Marching Band, and coaching staffs. Following the Pep Rally, stay for activities and Jamestown Revival in concert.

Ring Around the Fountain – TCU Official Ring Ceremony
Sunday, September 18 | 2:00pm | Brown-Lupton University Union Ballroom*
The TCU Alumni Association invites all new class ring recipients and their families to join us in the Brown-Lupton University Union Ballroom* to “ring in” the next phase of Horned Frog life! The Celebration begins at 2:00pm followed by a reception. Ring recipients are asked to arrive at 1:15pm to check-in. Ring Celebration participant registration opens July 27.
